Nonin SenSmart Regional Oximetry System

Regional oximetry measures rSO2 and provides accurate, reliable and consistent measures of tissue oxygen saturation for real-time management of patients at risk for compromised oxygen saturation to the brain and other tissues. Nonin's regional oximetry systems are designed for use in cerebral and somatic positions and can be used for spot-checking or continuous monitoring of neonatal, pediatric and adult patients in operating room, surgical recovery, critical care, emergency room, long-term care and mobile environments.

The latest advancement in near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), Nonin's patented dual emitter/dual detector regional oximetry sensor architecture delivers greater accuracy than conventional NIRS cerebral technologies by providing stable, rapid and reliable signals and minimizing ambient light and electromagnetic interferences.

An innovative design that pairs simple with smart, Nonin SenSmart Model X-100 Universal Oximetry System is the first system to deliver both pulse and cerebral oximetry measurements today, and is designed to accommodate many more parameters in the future.

Now, one system provides a side-by-side view of cerebral oximetry (rSO2), pulse oximetry (SpO2) and pulse rate values for real-time decision making.

Versatile: The SenSmart system provides clinicians the ability to use Nonin SenSmart-compatible rSO2 sensors and/or SpO2sensors to monitor up to six sites on a patient.

Highly Accurate: The SenSmart System’s EQUANOX Advance rSO2 Sensor provides clinicians with state-of-the-art accuracy. Nonin’s reusable SpO2 Soft Sensors provide fast, accurate and reliable readings even in patients with low perfusion or in the presence of motion.

Easy to Use: The smaller, lighter and less-intrusive SenSmart Universal Signal Processors automatically recognize and display either the rSO2 or SpO2 signal, as well as the colored channel number you have chosen to connect to.

Convenient: The portable, easy-to-operate SenSmart Monitor offers Bluetooth wireless connectivity and comes with SenSmart Download Software.

  • Color-coded display automatically recognizes and displays signal processor channel number, oximetry type (rSO2and/or SpO2), and lets you select or customize display of sensor site per channel. In multi-sensor situations you can quickly identify which sensor is which channel, so you can focus on the patient, not the monitoring system.

  • Intuitive, easy-to-operate user interface includes optional patient I.D. capability, as well as the ability to scroll back in the case and/or instantly retrieve a table of event values recorded.

  • Weight advantage: only 900 g (2 lbs)

  • Up to 10 customizable presets allow quick start, even when departments or individual clinicians have unique preferences. A major advancement for clinicians dissatisfied with "one-configuration-fits-all"

Nonin pediatric-specific sensors offer a small footprint and light path spacing for appropriate pediatric tissue depth. And only Nonin offers the Dynamic Compensation™ algorithm that minimizes the signal impact of myelin light absorption.
